Kentucky Governor signs HB 139 into law

A House bill aimed at elections has been signed into law by the Governor, marking a significant change in election procedures.

HB139, titled "AN ACT relating to elections and declaring an emergency," seeks to implement new regulations and processes for conducting elections. The bill declares an emergency, indicating that its provisions are intended to take effect immediately upon enactment.

The chief sponsor of HB139 is Representative J. Decker from District 58, with six co-sponsors including D. Grossberg and DJ Johnson.

The bill has now been enrolled and signed by both the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate before being delivered to the Secretary of State (Acts Ch. 175), completing its legislative journey and becoming law.
