Kentucky Governor signs HB 236 into law

A House bill that aims to reform medical services has been signed into law by the Governor, becoming Acts Chapter 105 of 2026.

HB236, titled "AN ACT relating to medical services," seeks to update regulations and standards for healthcare providers in Kentucky. The bill includes provisions aimed at improving patient care and ensuring that medical professionals adhere to the latest best practices.

The bill was chiefly sponsored by Representative J. Bauman of District 28, with two co-sponsors including B. Wesley and M. Hart. It passed both chambers without opposition, receiving unanimous support in the House on a vote of 86-0.

Having been enrolled and signed by the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate, HB236 was delivered to the Governor and has now been signed into law.
