Governor signs health care reform act into law
A House bill (HB280) that aims to enhance healthcare services has been signed into law by the Governor. The legislation, titled "AN ACT relating to health care and declaring an emergency," seeks to improve access to medical services and streamline healthcare operations.
The bill's chief sponsor is Representative K. Moser from District 64, with co-authors including D. Grossberg and S. Bratcher. It passed both chambers without opposition, receiving unanimous support in the House on a 94-0 vote.
The bill has been enrolled and signed by both the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate before being delivered to the Governor, who signed it into law on April 9, 2026.
