A House bill (HB312) that modifies regulations for carrying concealed firearms and deadly weapons has been signed into law by the Governor.

The legislation, titled "AN ACT relating to concealed firearms and deadly weapons," aims to update existing laws governing the possession and concealment of firearms and other lethal instruments. It seeks to clarify and expand the rights of individuals to carry such items in a concealed manner under certain conditions.

Sponsored by Representative S. Maddox from District 61, the bill has garnered support from 27 co-sponsors, including Representatives B. Wesley and C. Massaroni. The bill has cleared both chambers with significant majorities after the Governor's veto was overridden.

The bill has now been enrolled and signed into law by the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate before being delivered to the Secretary of State for finalization (Acts Ch. 173).
