A House bill (HB379) that aims to reform postsecondary education in Kentucky has been signed into law after overcoming a gubernatorial veto.

The legislation, titled "AN ACT relating to postsecondary education," seeks to enhance the quality and accessibility of higher education across the state. It includes provisions for improving student support services, increasing funding transparency and streamlining administrative processes at public colleges and universities.

Chief sponsor Representative S. Baker, along with co-author J. Tipton, spearheaded the bill through both chambers of the legislature. The bill has now cleared significant hurdles, including a veto override in both the House and Senate.

The bill has been enrolled and signed by both the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate before being delivered to the Secretary of State (Acts Ch. 171), completing its journey through the legislative process and becoming law.
