A House bill that aims to regulate veterinarians has been signed into law by the Governor, marking a significant change in veterinary practice regulations.

HB387, titled "AN ACT relating to veterinarians and declaring an emergency," mandates new standards for veterinary professionals. The legislation includes provisions aimed at enhancing oversight and ensuring higher quality care for animals.

The bill was chiefly sponsored by Representative D. Meade of District 80, with one co-author, V. Grossl. It has now been signed into law after being enrolled and passed through both chambers of the Kentucky legislature.

The bill has cleared both chambers and has been delivered to the Secretary of State as Acts Chapter 170, officially becoming law following the Governor's signature.
