Kentucky will broaden the services available to residents living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia under House Bill 393, signed by Gov. Andy Beshear on April 6. The bill directs state agencies to coordinate care, training and support programs for patients and families dealing with the conditions.
HB393 moved through both chambers without opposition. The House passed it 95-0 on Feb. 2. The Senate followed with a 38-0 vote on March 24.
Rep. Raymer is the primary sponsor. Republican Rep. Grossl and Democratic Rep. Grossberg co-sponsored, giving the bill cross-aisle backing.
