A House bill (HB500) that provides funding and establishes conditions for the operations of Kentucky's government has been signed into law by the Governor.

The bill, titled "AN ACT relating to appropriations measures providing funding and establishing conditions for the operations, maintenance, support and functioning of the government of the Commonwealth of Kentucky," allocates funds and sets guidelines for various state-supported activities, including cabinets, departments, boards, commissions, institutions, subdivisions, agencies and other entities.

HB500 is sponsored by Representative J. Petrie from District 16, with co-authors A. Bowling and J. Bray among others.

The bill has cleared both chambers of the legislature after being passed in the House on a 74-19 vote and in the Senate on a 32-6 vote. It was enrolled and signed by the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate before being delivered to the Secretary of State, where it has now been officially enacted into law as Acts Ch. 168.
