A House bill aimed at schools has been signed into law by the Governor, officially enacting changes to educational policies as outlined in "AN ACT relating to schools and declaring an emergency."

The legislation, which passed unanimously in both chambers, seeks to implement various reforms within the state's education system. The exact details of the reforms are detailed in the bill’s title but it is designed to address immediate needs within Kentucky’s school districts.

HB67 was chiefly sponsored by Representative J. Payne from District 11, with additional support from seven co-sponsors including B. McCool and D. Grossberg. The bill has now been signed into law after being enrolled and sent to the Governor for approval.

The bill has cleared both chambers of the Kentucky General Assembly and has been enrolled, signed by the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate before being delivered to the Governor on April 12, 2026. The Governor then signed it into law, making it official state legislation.
