Governor signs Senate bill into law affecting county treasurer office

A Senate bill (SB149) has been signed into law by the Governor, impacting the responsibilities and operations of the office of county treasurer in Kentucky.

The legislation, titled "AN ACT relating to the office of county treasurer," aims to modify the duties and administrative procedures for county treasurers. It was passed unanimously in both chambers before being signed into law.

With the bill now law, it has been enrolled and signed by both the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House, followed by its delivery to and signature from the Governor on April 12, 2026.
