Kentucky Governor signs SB 59 into law
A Senate bill that restricts certain uses of tax dollars and resources has been signed into law by Governor Beshear. The legislation, titled "AN ACT relating to prohibited uses of tax dollars and resources," aims to prevent state funds from being used for specific purposes deemed inappropriate.
The bill's chief sponsor is Senator S. Rawlings from District 111, with five co-sponsors including A. Reed and D. Douglas. It has now become law after receiving overwhelming support in both the Senate and House.
SB59 has been enrolled and signed by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House before being delivered to the Secretary of State for inclusion in Acts Chapter 155, marking its official passage into law.
