Kentucky's autism spectrum disorder trust fund, the dedicated state account that pays for diagnostic and intervention services for children with autism, was reauthorized and updated under Senate Bill 69. Gov. Andy Beshear signed the bill on April 2. The measure carries an emergency clause and took effect on his signature.

The Senate passed SB69 37-0 on Feb. 16. The House cleared it 93-0 on March 23 after adding a committee substitute. The Senate concurred in that change 38-0 the following day, completing legislative action.

Sen. Adams is the primary sponsor. Sens. Carroll, Deneen, Mills and Storm signed on as co-sponsors. All five are Republicans.
