Minnesota House passes bill to replace statue of Henry Mower Rice in National Statuary Hall
A House bill (HF475) has advanced after being passed by the Minnesota House of Representatives, proposing a request to replace the statue of Henry Mower Rice currently displayed in the National Statuary Hall at the United States Capitol.
The bill seeks approval from the Joint Committee on Library of Congress of the United States Congress for the replacement of the existing statue. It also includes a memorial resolution to honor the new selection.
Chief sponsor Rep. Long is leading the effort, with nine co-sponsors including Anderson and Coulter. The bill now moves to the Senate for further consideration following its passage in the House.
