Minnesota SF 2373 passes both chambers, heads to governor for signature

By Alex Smith

Minnesota's SF 2373, an omnibus labor policy bill, has passed both chambers of the state legislature and is now heading to the governor. The most recent action occurred on May 16, 2026, when the House passed the bill as amended. The bill addresses a broad range of labor policy matters under Minnesota law.

The bill was sponsored in the Senate by McEwen, with one co-sponsor. After passing the Senate, it was received by the House on May 7, 2026, given a first reading and referred for comparison with HF 2441. The House placed the bill on the calendar for May 16, at which point it was amended, given a third reading and passed. A House amendment to the Baker Amendment failed on a 61-72 vote on the same day (source: https://openstates.org/mn/bills/2025-2026/SF2373/).

The bill now goes to the governor for consideration.
