Minnesota HF 3900 presented to governor after unanimous House vote
By Alex Smith
Minnesota HF 3900 has passed both chambers of the Legislature and was presented to the governor on May 20, 2026. The bill would modify investment, management and distribution policy for the state's permanent school fund and propose a constitutional amendment related to that fund.
The bill was sponsored by Representative Igo along with 21 co-sponsors. A conference committee reconciled differences between the House and Senate versions, and both chambers adopted the conference committee report on May 16, 2026. The House repassed the amended bill by a vote of 134-0. (source: https://openstates.org/mn/bills/2025-2026/HF3900/)
