Minnesota SF 4476 presented to governor after passing both chambers

By Alex Smith

Minnesota SF 4476, an omnibus Human Services supplemental appropriations bill, has passed both chambers of the Legislature and was presented to the governor on May 20, 2026. The bill, as its title indicates, provides supplemental appropriations for human services programs in the state.

The legislation was sponsored by Senator Hoffman along with two co-sponsors. A conference committee reconciled differences between the chambers, adopting a "delete everything" amendment before both the Senate and House adopted the conference committee report on May 17, 2026. The House repassed the bill as amended by conference on the same date by a vote of 108 to 26. (source: https://openstates.org/mn/bills/2025-2026/SF4476/)

The bill now awaits action by the governor, who may sign or veto it.
